Challenge
Recraft is the first generative AI design tool that lets users create and edit digital illustrations, art, and 3D graphics in a uniform brand style.
As it approached its Series A announcement, the startup wanted to use the moment to raise awareness of its advanced AI capabilities for design and how the funding would allow it to develop its own foundation model.
Approach
The Flywheelers worked with Recraft to develop messaging which would enable Recraft to deposition itself from consumer-focused AI design tools and promote how the new Series A funding would allow it to improve the quality of its designs further, in turn supporting professional use cases.
The team identified the key media segments that would allow Recraft to boost its brand with design professionals and global VCs – then pitched the news under embargo to tier-one targets to secure interviews and maximise the potential of securing on-the-date coverage.
Impact
The Flywheelers secured interviews and written Q&As with TechCrunch, Business Insider, CreativeBloq, The Next Web, TechBlast and Maddyness ahead of launch.
The Flywheelers secured 36 pieces of coverage for the Series A announcement, including stand-out coverage in TechCrunch, The Next Web, Business Insider, The Times, Venture Beat and Tech.eu, as well as in the Sifted and Fortune newsletters.
