The Flywheelers, the integrated communications agency for high-growth technology startups and scaleups, announces the appointment of Samantha McKittrick as Associate Director. With over 10 years’ experience in integrated B2B communications, she will support The Flywheelers in delivering brand momentum for clients and driving agency growth.
She brings experience in digital and corporate storytelling, from supporting startups breaking into the UK market, through to conceiving and delivering integrated campaigns for scaleups and global organisations. This includes messaging and narrative development, setting the comms strategy, and managing programmes for ambitious industry leaders, such as Canon EMEA, Sopra Steria, Autodesk, Priority Pass and London North Eastern Railway (LNER), as well as disruptive start-ups and scaleups including GoCardless, Infogrid, Inevidesk and eNett.
Samantha joins The Flywheelers from Nelson Bostock. Prior to this, she worked for eight years at Brands2Life.
Kate Baldwin, Founder & MD at The Flywheelers commented: “In this market, startups and scaleups’ comms budgets will need to work even harder in delivering tangible benefits for the business. Comms for comms sake won’t cut; the focus has to be on getting the right message out to the right audience in the right way. That is why Samantha’s extensive experience building integrated comms programmes for some of the largest tech brands, through to category-leading startups, will be so valuable to our existing and new clients this year. I am excited to see where her strategic input takes our clients this year.”
Samantha McKittrick, Associate Director at The Flywheelers commented: “I have seen first-hand the direct impact that comms has on organisations’ value and growth. That is why I jumped at the chance to join The Flywheelers. Its Subscription Model is uniquely designed to help startups and scaleups maximise the value of their comms investment by flexing to their business needs as they and their situation changes and evolves. The opportunity to work with agile, ambitious digital companies in a way that is wholly in tune with the evolution of their business is an exciting opportunity as a comms professional.”
“It is also a testament to The Flywheelers’ proposition and leadership that it was recently recognised as one of the top agencies to watch in 2023 and I am excited to join for this next stage of its growth,” continued Samantha.
Samantha’s appointment follows Senior Account Executive, Nicole Boahene Asomah joining the agency earlier in January. Prior to joining The Flywheelers, Nicole held Communications Executive roles at Direct Line Group and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
