FLAG appoints The Flywheelers to elevate brand presence in international markets

The Flywheelers, the integrated comms agency for high-growth tech companies, announces that it has been selected by FLAG, one of the largest privately owned global subsea cable operators, as the PR agency of record to launch the brand and drive sustained and targeted media presence in its core international markets.

The agency was leading the announcement of the FLAG brand launch after it spun out from GCX in 2025, a global network provider for whom The Flywheelers has been the communications partner since 2023.

Through its targeted, high-impact media relations and thought leadership programme, The Flywheelers continue to support FLAG in shaping media conversations in the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the USA for subsea infrastructure, edge data centres, and next‑generation network innovation.

The agency also leads FLAG’s awards programme, which saw the company win Best Alternative Network Provider at the latest Global Connectivity Awards for executing a bold rebrand and its focus on championing neutrality and independence across its global subsea network.

Nadya Melic, VP of Product Marketing at FLAG, said: “The Flywheelers has been instrumental in raising our brand presence as we expand our global footprint. The team brings a proactive, strategic approach to media relations, building relationships with influential publications in our core international markets. We’ve seen a significant growth in our media presence since the beginning of our partnership, which has helped underline our ambitions to showcase how we’re powering the growth of the internet and AI.”

Samantha McKittrick, Client Services Director at The Flywheelers, said: “The acceleration of AI and data centre growth has raised the bar for what’s expected from global connectivity. Through our partnership with FLAG, we’re showcasing the scale of its infrastructure and the expertise of the team shaping it, as they address the connectivity challenges emerging worldwide.”
